Based on your approved petition, your spouse and minor unmarried children, younger than 21, may apply for immigrant visas with you. Like you, they must also fill out required application forms, obtain required civil documents, pay the required fees, and undergo medical examinations. Same-sex spouses of U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs), along with their minor children, are now eligible for the same immigration benefits as opposite-sex spouses. Consular officers at U.S. Embassies and Consulates will adjudicate their immigrant visa applications upon receipt of an approved I-130 or I-140 petition from USCIS. For further information, please see our FAQ’s.

For tourist travel without undertaking paid work, U.S. residents do not require visas to enter the South American countries of Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina or Uruguay. Most of these countries will allow tourist stays of between 30 and 180 days. Travelers from the U.S. do require a tourist visa to enter Brazil. You must obtain your visa for Brazil before leaving your home country, as visas are not issued at the Brazilian airports or borders.
To be considered for an immigrant visa under some of the employment-based categories below, the applicant's prospective employer or agent must first obtain a labor certification approval from the Department of Labor. Once received (if required), the employer then files an Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, Form I-140, with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for the appropriate employment-based preference category. (NOTE: Persons with extraordinary abilities in the Employment First preference category are able to file their own petitions.) When filing the Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, Form I-140, see the detailed form instructions, as well as more detailed requirements information on the USCIS Permanent Workers webpage.
The Affidavit of Support and financial evidence that derivative applicants must bring to the interview will vary based on who is financially sponsoring them. A derivative applicant is an immediate family member of the beneficiary of an immigrant petition. The beneficiary is the principal applicant, and spouses and unmarried children under age 21 are called derivative applicants. This only applies to preference visa categories and not to immediate relatives of U.S. citizens. See below for instructions on financial support documents for derivative applicants:

Check with the local consulate for details. Inquire with your airline if boarding is allowed without a visa. To minimize risk of being refused entry and to avoid excessive waiting for an on arrival visa to be issued, CIBTvisas strongly recommends that travelers obtain all visas prior to departure.
1. My trip will be total 20-22 days, split between UK-4, France-7, Swiss-4, Italy-7. I am going as a tourist but will be also attending an university reunion one full day in France, which is the main motivation for the trip. I want to apply for the Schengen visa first (at the French Consulate), then for the UK visa. Is this a good strategy, considering France is my main reason for the trip. or do you advise to apply the UK one first, then France? My reasoning being, the Schengen visa would increase my chance for the UK one.
The Czech Republic allows Australian citizens to apply for a work visa under a special scheme known as a 'Green Card' (rather than a 'Blue Card' or work permit which is required by most non-EU citizens). The application for a Green Card can be lodged at any Czech embassy/consulate (or, in some circumstances, within the Czech Republic if the applicant is already resident there) and is usually processed within 60 days. Note that 'Green Cards' are no longer issued after 24 June 2014.

Road maintenance is inadequate in many areas and some long-distance roads through the Amazon forest are impassable much of the year due to flooding. Private cars and public buses are the main modes of inter-city road travel. Buses can range (depending on route and price) from luxurious and well-maintained to basic and mechanically unsound. Bus hijacking can occur at random.
